Synopsis

From the producer and director of the Academy Award-nominated Embrace of the Serpent, Birds of Passage is a story about indigenous traditions and the corrupting forces of wealth and power, set against the backdrop of the Colombian marijuana boom of the 1970s. The film was selected to open the 50th edition of the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. Received Special Commendation at London Film Festival 2018
